Jatugṛha-dāhānantara-vṛttāntaḥ

Aftermath of the Lac House Fire

तमालोक्य धनुस्त्यक्त्वा पितृगौरवयन्त्रित: । कर्णोडभिषेकार्दशिरा: शिरसा समवन्दत

Karṇa, durch die Ehrfurcht vor dem Vater gebunden, warf beim Anblick Adhirathas den Bogen fort und stieg vom Thron herab. Sein Haupt war noch vom Wasser der Abhiṣeka feucht. In eben diesem Zustand legte er sein Haupt an Adhirathas Füße und erwies ihm die Ehre.
