सा हि गत्वा55 श्रमं तस्य रमणीयं शरद्वत: । धनुर्बाणधरं बाला लोभयामास गौतमम्‌,वह जानपदी शरद्वानके रमणीय आश्रमपर जाकर धनुष-बाण धारण करनेवाले गौतमको लुभाने लगी

sā hi gatvā śramaṁ tasya ramaṇīyaṁ śaradvatāḥ | dhanurbāṇadharaṁ bālā lobhayāmāsa gautamam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Sie begab sich zur lieblichen Einsiedelei Śaradvatās und suchte, obgleich noch ein junges Mädchen, Gautama zu betören, der Bogen und Pfeile trug.
