Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
Unjust conduct and poor governance (durnaya) by those in power can bring ruin not only upon themselves but upon their entire lineage and the wider community; adharma spreads consequences beyond the individual.
Vaiśampāyana reports a heard warning to Ambikā: because of her grandson’s wrongful course, the Bhārata/Kuru line and even the city’s citizens are foretold to perish along with their associated kin and dependents.
