Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)

अम्बिके तव पौत्रस्य दुर्नयात्‌ किल भारता: । सानुबन्धा विनडृशक्ष्यन्ति पौराश्चैवेति नः श्रुतम्‌,“अम्बिके! तुम्हारे पौत्रके अन्यायसे भरतवंशी वीर तथा इस नगरके लोग सगे- सम्बन्धियोंसहित नष्ट हो जायँगे--ऐसी बात मैंने सुनी है

ambike tava pautrasya durnayāt kila bhāratāḥ | sānubandhā vinaḍṛśakṣyanti paurāś caiveti naḥ śrutam ||

Vaiśampāyana sagte: „O Ambikā, man sagt, dass wegen des unrechten Handelns deines Enkels die Bhāratas zugrunde gehen werden—mitsamt ihren Verwandten und Abhängigen—und ebenso die Bürger dieser Stadt. Das habe ich vernommen.“
