Adhyāya 125: Raṅga-pradarśana — Arjuna’s Entry and Astric Demonstration (रङ्गप्रदर्शनम्)
प्रहृष्मनसं तत्र विचरन्तं यथामरम् । त॑ माद्रयनुजगामैका वसनं बिभ्रती शुभम्,वे मनमें हर्षोल्लास भरकर देवताकी भाँति वहाँ विचर रहे थे। उस समय माद्री सुन्दर वस्त्र पहने अकेली उनके पीछे-पीछे जा रही थी
prahṛṣṭamanasaṃ tatra vicarantaṃ yathāmaram | taṃ mādrī anujagāmaikā vasanaṃ bibhratī śubham ||
Vaiśampāyana sprach: Dort wandelte er mit von Freude erhobenem Herzen umher, wie ein Gott unter den Unsterblichen. Da folgte ihm Mādrī, in schöne und glückverheißende Gewänder gekleidet, allein — Schritt für Schritt — und diente ihm in stiller Hingabe.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights inner disposition and conduct: a joyful, elevated mind is portrayed as godlike, and Mādrī’s solitary following in auspicious attire reflects attentive companionship and respectful service within a royal-ethical setting.
A man is described as moving about happily, compared to an immortal; Mādrī, dressed in fine clothing, follows him alone, indicating her presence as an attendant companion in that moment.
