ततो माद्री समालिड्र्य राजानं गतचेतसम्‌ । मुमोच दुःखजं शब्दं पुन: पुनरतीव हि,तब माद्री राजाके शवसे लिपटकर बार-बार अत्यन्त दुःखभरी वाणीमें विलाप करने लगी

tato mādrī samāliḍhya rājānaṃ gatacetasaṃ | mumoca duḥkhajaṃ śabdaṃ punaḥ punar atīva hi ||

Da umschlang Mādrī den König, dessen Bewusstsein entschwunden war, und stieß immer wieder einen aus Schmerz geborenen Schrei aus, in heftigem Klagen.
