ं 24443 पंप कुन्ती शुश्राव सूतके । च्चारितामुच्चैस्तां निशम्य तपस्विनाम्‌,कुन्तीने सौरीमेंसे ही यह अत्यन्त अद्भुत बात सुनी। उच्चस्वरमें उच्चारित वह आकाशवाणी सुनकर शतशुंगनिवासी तपस्वी मुनियों तथा विमानोंपर स्थित इन्द्र आदि देवसमूहोंको बड़ा हर्ष हुआ

Kuntī śuśrāva sūtake | uccāritām uccais tāṃ niśamya tapasvinām | Kuntīne saurīṃ meṃse hī yaḥ atyanta adbhuta bāta sunī | uccasvarameṃ uccārita vaha ākāśavāṇī sunakara śataśṛṅganivāsī tapasvī muniyoṃ tathā vimānoṃ para sthita indra-ādi devasamuha ko baṛā harṣa huā |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Während Kuntī sich in der rituellen Unreinheit nach der Geburt befand, vernahm sie eine überaus wunderbare Verkündigung. Als jene himmlische Stimme, laut und in hoher Tonlage gesprochen, erklang, wurden die Asketen, die auf Śataśṛṅga weilten, und die Scharen der Götter—Indra und die anderen—die in ihren Luftwagen standen, von großer Freude erfüllt.
