वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse teaches that śīla (inner character) expressed through ācāra and consistent behavior can create trust and contentment in a community. Ethical influence is shown not through power but through disciplined, respectful conduct that benefits the whole household.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes how Gandhārī, after entering the Kuru household, pleased all the Kurus by her virtuous nature and exemplary manners, establishing goodwill and harmony within the royal family.
