को हि सम्बन्धकं शलाध्यमीप्सितं यौनमीदृशम् । अतिक्रामन्न तप्येत साक्षादपि शतक्रतु:,ऐसे मनो$नुकूल और स्पृहणीय उत्तम विवाह-सम्बन्धको ठुकराकर कौन ऐसा मनुष्य होगा जिसके मनमें संताप न हो? भले ही वह साक्षात् इन्द्र ही क्यों न हो
ko hi sambandhakaṃ ślāghyam īpsitaṃ yaunam īdṛśam | atikrāmann na tapyeta sākṣād api śatakratuḥ ||
Dāśa sprach: „Wer könnte eine so rühmliche und heiß ersehnte Eheverbindung, die dem eigenen Herzen so sehr entspricht, zurückweisen und keinen Schmerz empfinden? Selbst wenn er Śatakratu wäre—Indra in eigener Person—würde er vor Reue brennen.“
