क्वचिदशेषसुरद्रुमसंकुलं कुरबकैः प्रियकैस्तिलकैस् तथा बहुकदम्बतमाललतावृतं गिरिवरं शिखरैर्विविधैस् तथा
kvacidaśeṣasuradrumasaṃkulaṃ kurabakaiḥ priyakaistilakais tathā bahukadambatamālalatāvṛtaṃ girivaraṃ śikharairvividhais tathā
An manchen Stellen war jener vortreffliche Berg dicht erfüllt von allen Arten göttlicher Bäume, geschmückt mit kurabaka-, priyaka- und tilaka-Blüten; anderswo war er von vielen kadamba- und tamāla-Ranken umwunden und erhob sich in Gipfeln mannigfacher Gestalt. Eine so geweihte Landschaft ist der Gegenwart Śivas—des Pati—würdig: Dort finden die paśu-Seelen Ruhe, und die paśa-Bindungen beginnen sich durch heilige Schau und Erinnerung zu lösen.
