Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

बृहत्त्वाद् बृंहणत्वाच्च भावानां सकलाश्रयात् यस्माद्धारयते भावान् ब्रह्म तेन निरुच्यते

bṛhattvād bṛṃhaṇatvācca bhāvānāṃ sakalāśrayāt yasmāddhārayate bhāvān brahma tena nirucyate

Weil Es unermeßlich weit ist, weil Es Ausdehnung und Wachstum bewirkt, und weil Es die universale Zuflucht aller Seienden ist—da Es alle Wesen trägt und erhält—wird Es daher Brahman genannt.
