Suta Goswami
It frames rain and harvest as expressions of cosmic order upheld by Shiva (Pati), implying that prosperity (artha) is supported by dharma and is harmonized through Shaiva reverence rather than pursued independently.
By linking natural increase—rain and crop-yield—to orderly causation, the verse aligns with Shiva-tattva as Pati: the sovereign regulator of srishti who enables growth while remaining transcendent to the products of nature.
The verse is preparatory rather than prescriptive; it supports a Shaiva-dharmic outlook where puja, vrata, and yajna-oriented discipline are undertaken to align the pashu (soul) and society with the rhythm of srishti governed by Pati.
