Suta Goswami (narrating the cosmological teaching within the Linga Purana to the sages of Naimisharanya)
It frames the world as Shiva-governed manifestation: creation is projected and illumined, while elements like water persist through transformation—supporting Linga worship as reverence to Pati, the sustaining source behind changing forms.
Shiva-tattva is implied as the sovereign regulator of sṛṣṭi and the lawful transformations (parivarta) of the bhūtas; change occurs in the field of manifestation, while the governing principle (Pati) remains the ultimate ground.
A contemplative practice is suggested: in Pashupata-oriented meditation, the sādhaka observes impermanence as transformation (not nihilistic destruction), cultivating vairāgya and steadiness in devotion to Shiva as Pati.
