अध्याय १०१: हैमवती-तपः, तारकवंश-उत्पातः, स्कन्द-प्रत्याशा, मदनदहनम्
तदा तस्य सुतो यश् च स पतिस्ते भविष्यति सा प्रणम्य तदा रुद्रं कामपत्नी शुचिस्मिता
tadā tasya suto yaś ca sa patiste bhaviṣyati sā praṇamya tadā rudraṃ kāmapatnī śucismitā
Da sprach Rudra: „Und der Sohn, der von ihm geboren wird, soll dein Gatte (pati) sein.“ Daraufhin verneigte sich Kāmas Gemahlin — sanft und mit reinem Lächeln — vor Rudra.

It highlights Rudra as the supreme bestower of anugraha (grace): outcomes like marriage and lineage are shown as ordered by the Pati, approached through reverent praṇāma—an attitude central to Linga-centered devotion.
Shiva appears as Rudra, the sovereign Pati who governs karmic fruition and social order; the devotee’s response—bowing—reflects the pāśu’s recognition of the Lord’s lordship and benevolence.
Praṇāma (prostration/surrender) is emphasized—an essential devotional limb aligned with Pāśupata discipline, where humility and śaraṇāgati prepare the soul (paśu) for the Lord’s grace.
