Narmadā–Tīrtha-Māhātmya: Sequence of Sacred Fords and Their Fruits

स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र रुद्रलोके महीयते / पितॄणां तर्पणं कृत्वा मुच्यते ऽसावॄणत्रयात्

snātamātro narastatra rudraloke mahīyate / pitṝṇāṃ tarpaṇaṃ kṛtvā mucyate 'sāvṝṇatrayāt

Ein Mann, der dort nur gebadet hat, wird in Rudras Reich (Rudra-loka) geehrt. Und nachdem er den Ahnen das tarpaṇa, die Wasserlibation, dargebracht hat, wird er von der dreifachen Schuld befreit.
