Narmadā–Tīrtha-Māhātmya: Sequence of Sacred Fords and Their Fruits

दर्शनात् स्पर्शनात् तस्य स्नानदानतपोजपात् / होमाच्चैवोपवासाच्च शुक्लतीर्थे महत् फलम्

darśanāt sparśanāt tasya snānadānatapojapāt / homāccaivopavāsācca śuklatīrthe mahat phalam

In Śukla-tīrtha erwächst große geistige Frucht schon durch bloßes Schauen und Berühren; ebenso durch das heilige Bad, durch Gaben (dāna), tapas, das Rezitieren von japa, das Darbringen der homa (Feueropfer) und durch Fasten (upavāsa).
