Rules of Food, Acceptance, and Purity for the Twice-Born

Dvija-Śauca and Anna-Doṣa

पिण्याकं चोद्धृतस्नेहं देवधान्य तथैव च / रात्रौ च तिलसंबद्धं प्रयत्नेन दधि त्यजेत्

piṇyākaṃ coddhṛtasnehaṃ devadhānya tathaiva ca / rātrau ca tilasaṃbaddhaṃ prayatnena dadhi tyajet

Man soll sorgfältig pīṇyāka (Ölkuchen/Pressrückstand), Speisen, denen das Fett entzogen wurde, sowie deva-dhānya meiden; und nachts meide man alles, was mit Sesam bereitet ist, und verzichte ebenso auf dahi (Quark/geronnene Milch).
