FAQs

This verse is primarily narrative and action-oriented; it does not directly teach ātman-doctrine, but it implies dharmic resolve (buddhi) aligned with righteous purpose, a practical foundation often presupposed before higher contemplative teachings in Purāṇic instruction.

No explicit yogic technique is taught here; the emphasis is on steadiness of intention (buddhi-niścaya) and disciplined action—an ethic that complements Kurma Purana’s later yoga-oriented teachings by showing focused resolve and duty in practice.

The verse does not explicitly mention Śiva or Viṣṇu theology; it presents Rama as a dharmic agent. In the Kurma Purana’s broader synthesis, such dharmic action is compatible with both Vaiṣṇava devotion and Śaiva-Pāśupata frameworks, though that unity is not directly stated in this line.
