कंसोऽपि सचिवानाह वृथा किं घातये शिशुम् । अष्टमाद्देवकीपुत्रान्मम मृत्युरुदाहृतः

kaṃso'pi sacivānāha vṛthā kiṃ ghātaye śiśum . aṣṭamāddevakīputrānmama mṛtyurudāhṛtaḥ

Kamsa sagte auch zu seinen Ministern: „Warum sollte ich unnötigerweise einen Säugling töten? Mein Tod wurde durch den achten Sohn von Devaki angekündigt.“
