एतेन पूजाविधिना मासान् द्वादश हायनम् । नीत्वाथोपरमेत्साध्वी कार्तिके चरमेऽहनि ॥ २१ ॥

Transliteration

etena pūjā-vidhinā māsān dvādaśa hāyanam nītvāthoparamet sādhvī kārtike carame ’hani

Translation

Nach dieser Verehrungsweise soll die keusche Ehefrau diesen hingebungsvollen Dienst ununterbrochen zwölf Monate, also ein Jahr lang, ausführen. Ist das Jahr vollendet, soll sie am Vollmondtag des Monats Kārttika fasten und das Gelübde abschließen.
