Prahlāda Rejects Demonic Diplomacy and Proclaims Navadhā Bhakti

Because he was blinded by rage at Prahlāda’s unwavering devotion and perceived disobedience, he violently cast the silent child from his lap to the ground.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates this event to Mahārāja Parīkṣit.
Uncontrolled anger and ego can make a person irrational and cruel; cultivating devotion, humility, and self-control prevents such blindness of the heart.
