Brahmacarya and Vānaprastha Duties; Gradual Dissolution of Bodily Identity

मनो मनोरथैश्चन्द्रे बुद्धिं बोध्यै: कवौ परे । कर्माण्यध्यात्मना रुद्रे यदहं ममताक्रिया । सत्त्वेन चित्तं क्षेत्रज्ञे गुणैर्वैकारिकं परे ॥ २९ ॥ अप्सु क्षितिमपो ज्योतिष्यदो वायौ नभस्यमुम् । कूटस्थे तच्च महति तदव्यक्तेऽक्षरे च तत् ॥ ३० ॥

mano manorathaiś candre buddhiṁ bodhyaiḥ kavau pare karmāṇy adhyātmanā rudre yad-aham mamatā-kriyā

Der Geist mit all seinen Begierden soll im Mondgott aufgehen; die Intelligenz samt ihren Erkenntnisgegenständen soll in Brahmā, dem höchsten Kavi, ruhen. Das falsche Ego, den guṇa unterworfen und die Vorstellung erzeugend „ich bin dieser Körper“ und „dies gehört mir“, soll mitsamt den karmischen Handlungen in Rudra, der vorherrschenden Gottheit des Ego, aufgehen. Das Bewusstsein (citta) in sattva soll im jīva, dem kṣetrajña, aufgehen; und das vaikarika-Prinzip samt den Halbgöttern, die unter den guṇa wirken, soll im Höchsten Herrn aufgehen. Die Erde gehe im Wasser auf, das Wasser im Glanz der Sonne, dieser Glanz in der Luft, die Luft im Himmel, der Himmel im Ego, das Ego im mahat-tattva, das mahat im unmanifesten pradhāna, und zuletzt das Unmanifeste im Paramātmā.
