Varṣa-devatā Worship in Jambūdvīpa: Hayagrīva/Hayaśīrṣa, Nṛsiṁha, Kāmadeva (Pradyumna), Matsya, Kūrma, and Varāha
यस्मिन्नसङ्ख्येयविशेषनाम- रूपाकृतौ कविभि: कल्पितेयम् । सङ्ख्या यया तत्त्वदृशापनीयते तस्मै नम: साङ्ख्यनिदर्शनाय ते इति ॥ ३३ ॥
yasminn asaṅkhyeya-viśeṣa-nāma- rūpākṛtau kavibhiḥ kalpiteyam saṅkhyā yayā tattva-dṛśāpanīyate tasmai namaḥ sāṅkhya-nidarśanāya te iti
O Herr, Dein Name, Deine Gestalt und die Merkmale Deines Leibes entfalten sich in unzähligen Formen; niemand kann ihre genaue Zahl bestimmen. Doch Du selbst hast in Deiner Inkarnation als der Gelehrte Kapiladeva die kosmische Manifestation als aus vierundzwanzig Tattvas bestehend analysiert. Darum soll, wer die Sāṅkhya-Lehre verstehen will, durch die man die Wahrheiten aufzählt, sie von Dir hören; Nichtgeweihte zählen nur die Elemente und bleiben unwissend über Deine wirkliche Gestalt. Dir, dem Offenbarer der Sāṅkhya, bringe ich ehrerbietige Verneigung dar.
