Akrūra’s Journey to Vraja and His Devotional Vision of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma

अथावरूढ: सपदीशयो रथात् प्रधानपुंसोश्चरणं स्वलब्धये । धिया धृतं योगिभिरप्यहं ध्रुवं नमस्य आभ्यां च सखीन् वनौकस: ॥ १५ ॥

athāvarūḍhaḥ sapadīśayo rathāt pradhāna-puṁsoś caraṇaṁ sva-labdhaye dhiyā dhṛtaṁ yogibhir apy ahaṁ dhruvaṁ namasya ābhyāṁ ca sakhīn vanaukasaḥ

Dann werde ich sogleich von meinem Wagen steigen und mich vor den Lotosfüßen Śrī Kṛṣṇas und Balarāmas, der Höchsten Persönlichkeiten Gottes, verneigen. Dieselben Füße tragen große Yogīs in ihrer Meditation im Geist. Ebenso werde ich den kuhhirtischen Freunden der Herren und allen Bewohnern Vṛndāvanas meine Ehrerbietung erweisen.

This verse says that Akrūra immediately bows to the feet of the Supreme Lord, indicating that true self-fulfillment (success of life) is achieved through humble surrender to Kṛṣṇa’s lotus feet—feet that even advanced yogīs hold in meditation.

Akrūra had come to Vṛndāvana and, upon receiving darśana of Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma, he recognized Them as the Supreme Lords. Overwhelmed with devotion, he immediately offered obeisances, considering that moment the perfection of his life.

Prioritize devotion and humility: seek “success” as inner transformation—remembering God, offering respect, and valuing saintly association—rather than merely external achievements.
