आ दे॒वेषु॑ वृश्चते अहु॒तम॑स्य भवति

ā́ devéṣu vṛścáte ahutám asya bhávati

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Unto the Gods it is, as it were, cut away: for him the unoffered oblation comes to be (as offered).

Translation

Zu den Göttern hin ist es gleichsam abgeschnitten: für ihn wird die nicht dargebrachte Opfergabe (wie) dargebracht.
