इ॒मे जी॒वा वि मृ॒तैराव॑वृत्र॒न्नभू॑द् भ॒द्रा दे॒वहु॑तिर्नो अ॒द्य। प्राञ्चो॑ अगाम नृ॒तये॒ हसा॑य सु॒वीरा॑सो वि॒दथ॒मा व॑देम

IAST Transliteration

imé jīvā́ ví mṛtáir ā́vavṛtrann ábhūd bhadrā́ deváhutir no adyá | prā́ñco agāma nṛtáye hásāya suvī́rāso vidátham ā́ vadema ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

These living have turned them away from the dead: auspicious hath our oblation to the Gods become to-day. Forward have we gone—to dance, to laugh; rich in brave sons, may we address the assembly again.

Translation

Diese Lebenden haben sich von den Toten abgewandt; heilsam ist heute unsere deváhuti, die Opfergabe an die Götter, geworden. Vorwärts sind wir gegangen – zum Tanz, zum Lachen; reich an tapferen Söhnen mögen wir wieder zur Versammlung (vidatha) sprechen.
