Application: Maintain correct order—preparation, mantra-bathing, upacāra worship, homa, then pūrṇāhuti—to ensure saṅkalpa-siddhi and ritual closure.

Related Themes: Agni Purana 69 (Agni-vidhi/homa sequence and upacāras)
It outlines a precise homa sequence: anoint with ghee, rub/cleanse, perform snapana (ritual bathing/sprinkling) with the mūla-mantra, worship Agni with fragrances and related offerings, then conclude with the pūrṇāhuti (final complete oblation).
It functions as a practical ritual manual embedded within the Purāṇa, preserving procedural details of pūjā and homa (materials, mantra-application, and closing rites) alongside the text’s broader coverage of many sciences and disciplines.
The sequence emphasizes ritual purity and correctness—mantra-guided purification, reverent worship of Agni, and the pūrṇāhuti as the formal completion—traditionally held to seal the rite, remove defects, and secure the intended merit (puṇya) and results.
