No ritual vidyā is taught here; the verse conveys Itihāsa-based kṣatriya conduct—protecting a woman from abduction and repelling unlawful raids such as go-graha (cattle-seizure).
It shows the Agni Purana’s compendious method: alongside rituals and sciences, it also preserves condensed Itihāsa narratives (Mahābhārata episodes) as ethical-political exempla within a single Purāṇic framework.
Protecting the vulnerable (especially against abduction) and restraining unjust violence like cattle-raids aligns with dharma, generating puṇya and reinforcing the moral order that Purāṇas present as spiritually sustaining.
