पवित्रास्तं गजं द्रष्टुं भावितेनांतरात्मना । यत्रैकत्र स्थिता विप्रास्तत्र तीर्थं महोदयम् । संगमेश्वरसंज्ञं तु पूर्वं सर्वत्र विश्रुतम्
pavitrāstaṃ gajaṃ draṣṭuṃ bhāvitenāṃtarātmanā | yatraikatra sthitā viprāstatra tīrthaṃ mahodayam | saṃgameśvarasaṃjñaṃ tu pūrvaṃ sarvatra viśrutam
অন্তরে পবিত্র ও চিত্তে ভাবিত হয়ে সেই গজকে দেখার জন্য ব্রাহ্মণরা যেখানে একত্রে অবস্থান করলেন— সেই স্থানই ‘মহোদয়’ তীর্থ; যা পূর্বে সর্বত্র ‘সঙ্গমেশ্বর’ নামে প্রসিদ্ধ ছিল।
