पुरा त्रेतायुगे देवि पर्णादोनाम वै द्विजः । प्रभासं क्षेत्रमासाद्य तपस्तेपे सुदारुणम् । आराधयामास रविं भक्त्या परमया युतः
purā tretāyuge devi parṇādonāma vai dvijaḥ | prabhāsaṃ kṣetramāsādya tapastepe sudāruṇam | ārādhayāmāsa raviṃ bhaktyā paramayā yutaḥ
প্রাচীন ত্রেতাযুগে, হে দেবী, পর্ণাদ নামে এক ব্রাহ্মণ ছিলেন। তিনি প্রভাস-ক্ষেত্রে এসে অতি কঠোর তপস্যা করলেন এবং পরম ভক্তিসহ রবি (সূর্যদেব)-এর আরাধনা করলেন।
