रुष्टा क्लिष्टा दुर्बला व्याधिता च न दातव्या या च मूल्यैरदत्तैः । लेशो विप्रेभ्यो यया जायते वै तस्या दातुश्चाफलाः सर्वलोकाः
ruṣṭā kliṣṭā durbalā vyādhitā ca na dātavyā yā ca mūlyairadattaiḥ | leśo viprebhyo yayā jāyate vai tasyā dātuścāphalāḥ sarvalokāḥ
ক্রুদ্ধ, কষ্টপীড়িত, দুর্বল বা রোগাক্রান্ত গাভী দান করা উচিত নয়; আর যার মূল্য যথাবিধি পরিশোধ করা হয়নি তাও নয়। যে দানে ব্রাহ্মণদের সামান্যও ক্ষোভ জন্মায়, সেই দানে দাতার জন্য সকল লোকই নিষ্ফল হয়ে যায়।
