यन्न दृष्टं हि वेदेषु न दृष्टं स्मृतिषु द्विजाः । उभयोर्यत्र दृष्टं च तत्पुराणेषु गीयते
yanna dṛṣṭaṃ hi vedeṣu na dṛṣṭaṃ smṛtiṣu dvijāḥ | ubhayoryatra dṛṣṭaṃ ca tatpurāṇeṣu gīyate
হে দ্বিজগণ! যা বেদে দেখা যায় না, স্মৃতিতেও দেখা যায় না; আর যা উভয়ের মধ্যেই বিদ্যমান—তাই পুরাণে গীত ও উপদিষ্ট হয়।
