अशीतिश्च सहस्राणि पूर्वपश्चायतं स्मृतम् । उत्तरे हिमवानस्ति क्षीरोदो दक्षिणे स्मृतः
aśītiśca sahasrāṇi pūrvapaścāyataṃ smṛtam | uttare himavānasti kṣīrodo dakṣiṇe smṛtaḥ
পূর্ব থেকে পশ্চিম পর্যন্ত তার বিস্তার আশি সহস্র (যোজন) বলা হয়েছে। উত্তরে হিমবান আছে, আর দক্ষিণে ক্ষীরোদ (সমুদ্র) স্মৃত।
