एवं सा गोमती तत्र संजाता सागरंगमा । सर्वपापहरा प्रोक्ता पूर्वगंगेति या श्रुता
evaṃ sā gomatī tatra saṃjātā sāgaraṃgamā | sarvapāpaharā proktā pūrvagaṃgeti yā śrutā
এইভাবে গোমতী সেখানে উৎপন্ন হয়ে সাগরগামিনী হলেন। তিনি সর্বপাপহারিণী বলে ঘোষিত এবং ‘পূর্বগঙ্গা’ নামে প্রসিদ্ধ।
