गौर्युवाच । सापत्न्यजेर्ष्यया देव मया लिंगं प्रकल्पितम् । तस्मात्कटेश्वराख्या च लोके चास्य भविष्यति
gauryuvāca | sāpatnyajerṣyayā deva mayā liṃgaṃ prakalpitam | tasmātkaṭeśvarākhyā ca loke cāsya bhaviṣyati
গৌরী বলিলেন—হে দেব! সতীনের প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতাজনিত ঈর্ষ্যায় আমি এই লিঙ্গ নির্মাণ করেছি; অতএব লোকের মধ্যে ইহা ‘কটেশ্বর’ নামে প্রসিদ্ধ হইবে।
