अथ तौ चरणौ तस्य तप्त शापोदकप्लुतौ । दग्धौ कृष्णत्वमापन्नौ तत्क्षणाद्द्विजसत्तमाः
atha tau caraṇau tasya tapta śāpodakaplutau | dagdhau kṛṣṇatvamāpannau tatkṣaṇāddvijasattamāḥ
তখন তার দুই পা, শাপের জন্য উত্তপ্ত জলে ভিজে, দগ্ধ হয়ে সেই মুহূর্তেই কালো হয়ে গেল—হে দ্বিজশ্রেষ্ঠগণ!
