sarasvatyuvāca | stotreṇānena bhūpāla bhaktyā susthirayā sadā | parituṣṭāsmi tenāśu varaṃ vṛṇu yathepsitam
Sarasvatī
Type: kshetra
Listener: Bhūpāla (the king)
Scene: Sarasvatī, visibly present, addresses the king with a joyful smile, granting him the right to choose a boon; her right hand in varada-mudrā, veena resting, aura calm and bright.
Steady devotion expressed through sacred praise pleases the Goddess and opens the way for divine grace and blessings.
The setting is within a tīrtha-māhātmya chapter, but this verse centers on the interpersonal divine exchange (boon-granting) rather than naming the tīrtha.
Stotra-recitation with unwavering bhakti is the practice implied; its stated fruit is the Goddess’s satisfaction and boon-bestowal.
