देवशर्मोवाच । कामं त्यजत मां सर्वे यूयमन्येऽपि ये द्विजाः । मयैवास्य प्रतिज्ञातं भोक्तुं श्राद्धे महीपतेः
devaśarmovāca | kāmaṃ tyajata māṃ sarve yūyamanye'pi ye dvijāḥ | mayaivāsya pratijñātaṃ bhoktuṃ śrāddhe mahīpateḥ
দেবশর্মা বললেন—তোমরা সবাই ইচ্ছা করলে আমাকে ত্যাগ করো; অন্য ব্রাহ্মণরাও চাইলে করুক। কিন্তু আমি নিজেই রাজাধিরাজের শ্রাদ্ধে ভোজন করার প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছি।
