pravarttaṃte sadā devi tasmādyogaṃ sadābhyaset | cāturmāsye viśeṣeṇa yogī pāpaṃ nikṛntati
Skanda (deduced from Nāgarakhaṇḍa Tīrthamāhātmya narrative style)
Tirtha: Cāturmāsya-kāla (sacred season)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Devī
Scene: Monsoon season: a yogin under a simple shelter near a shrine, rain falling outside; inside, lamp-lit meditation and vow-observance, with Devī as compassionate listener in the background.
Constant yogic practice is recommended, and Cāturmāsya is highlighted as a particularly potent period for destroying sin.
This verse emphasizes a sacred time (Cāturmāsya) within Tīrthamāhātmya rather than naming a single tirtha in the verse itself.
Regular practice of yoga, with special emphasis on intensified discipline during Cāturmāsya.
