तद्दृष्ट्वा सुमहल्लिंगं रुधिराक्तं जलैः प्लुतम् । ब्राह्मणाः संशयगता दह्यमाना वसुन्धरा
taddṛṣṭvā sumahalliṃgaṃ rudhirāktaṃ jalaiḥ plutam | brāhmaṇāḥ saṃśayagatā dahyamānā vasundharā
অতিশয় বৃহৎ সেই লিঙ্গকে রক্তলিপ্ত ও জলে প্লাবিত দেখে ব্রাহ্মণগণ সংশয়ে পতিত হলেন; আর বসুন্ধরা যেন দগ্ধ হতে লাগল।
