विश्वामित्र उवाच । एषा पुण्यतमा मेध्या नागवल्ली नराधिप । अयथावत्कृता वक्त्रे बहून्दोषान्प्रयच्छति । तस्माद्यत्नेन संभक्ष्या दत्त्वा चैव स्वशक्तितः
viśvāmitra uvāca | eṣā puṇyatamā medhyā nāgavallī narādhipa | ayathāvatkṛtā vaktre bahūndoṣānprayacchati | tasmādyatnena saṃbhakṣyā dattvā caiva svaśaktitaḥ
বিশ্বামিত্র বললেন—হে নরাধিপ! এই নাগবল্লী অতি পুণ্যদায়িনী ও শুদ্ধিকারিণী। বিধি-বিরুদ্ধভাবে প্রস্তুত করে মুখে দিলে বহু দোষ জন্মায়। তাই যত্নসহকারে চিবোতে হবে এবং সামর্থ্য অনুযায়ী দানও করতে হবে।
