स्थानिकं मूर्खमप्येवमलाभे गुणिनामपि । हीनांगमधिकांगं वा दूषितं नो तथा परम्
sthānikaṃ mūrkhamapyevamalābhe guṇināmapi | hīnāṃgamadhikāṃgaṃ vā dūṣitaṃ no tathā param
যদি গুণী (যোগ্য) ব্রাহ্মণ না মেলে, তবে স্থানীয়—অজ্ঞ হলেও—তাকেও গ্রহণ করা যায়; কারণ দুষিত (অপবিত্র) ব্যক্তি, অঙ্গহীন বা অতিরিক্ত অঙ্গযুক্ত হলেও, ততটা কল্যাণকর নয় বরং অধিক ক্ষতিকর।
