अथ ते ब्राह्मणाः सर्वे यथाज्येष्ठं यथासुखम् । उपविष्टा नरेंद्रस्य चतुर्दिक्षु सुविस्मिताः । पप्रच्छुस्तं च भूपालं वार्तां ब्रह्मगृहोद्भवाम्
atha te brāhmaṇāḥ sarve yathājyeṣṭhaṃ yathāsukham | upaviṣṭā nareṃdrasya caturdikṣu suvismitāḥ | papracchustaṃ ca bhūpālaṃ vārtāṃ brahmagṛhodbhavām
তখন সেই সকল ব্রাহ্মণ জ্যেষ্ঠতা ও স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য অনুযায়ী, অত্যন্ত বিস্মিত হয়ে, রাজাকে ঘিরে চার দিকেই বসে পড়লেন। এবং তাঁরা সেই ভূपालকে ব্রহ্মালয় থেকে উদ্ভূত সংবাদ সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞাসা করলেন।
