गृध्र उवाच । श्रृणु भद्रै पुरा जातो मर्कटोऽहं च चापलः । आसं कदाचिदभवद्वसंतोऽथ ऋतुः क्रमात्
gṛdhra uvāca | śrṛṇu bhadrai purā jāto markaṭo'haṃ ca cāpalaḥ | āsaṃ kadācidabhavadvasaṃto'tha ṛtuḥ kramāt
গৃধ্র বলল—হে ভদ্র, শোনো। পূর্বে আমি চঞ্চল স্বভাবের এক বানররূপে জন্মেছিলাম। এক সময় ক্রমে বসন্ত ঋতু উপস্থিত হল।
