ततः सा तनया तस्य भार्गवस्या श्रृणोदिति । दत्तास्मि तस्मै विप्राय विरूपायेति जल्पताम्
tataḥ sā tanayā tasya bhārgavasyā śrṛṇoditi | dattāsmi tasmai viprāya virūpāyeti jalpatām
তখন সেই ভার্গবকন্যা তাদের কথা শুনল—“আমাকে সেই ব্রাহ্মণকে দান করা হয়েছে, যে বিকৃতরূপ,” বলে সে দুঃখে ক্ষোভভরে বিড়বিড় করতে লাগল।
