न जलोत्तरणे शक्ता यद्वन्नौः कर्णवर्जिता । तद्वच्छ्रेष्ठोऽप्यनाचारो विप्रो नोद्धरणक्षमः
na jalottaraṇe śaktā yadvannauḥ karṇavarjitā | tadvacchreṣṭho'pyanācāro vipro noddharaṇakṣamaḥ
যেমন দাঁড়বিহীন নৌকা জল পার হতে পারে না, তেমনই শ্রেষ্ঠ হলেও অনাচারী ব্রাহ্মণ অন্যকে উদ্ধার করতে সক্ষম নয়।
