स्नेहात्करणरागश्च प्रजज्ञे वैषयस्तथा । अश्रेयस्कावुभावतौ पूर्वस्तत्र गुरुः स्मृतः
snehātkaraṇarāgaśca prajajñe vaiṣayastathā | aśreyaskāvubhāvatau pūrvastatra guruḥ smṛtaḥ
স্নেহ থেকে ইন্দ্রিয়ের রাগ জন্মায়, এবং তদনন্তর বিষয়াসক্ত কামও উদ্ভূত হয়। উভয়ই অশ্রেয়ের কারণ; আর এখানে প্রথম—স্নেহ—কেই প্রধান প্রবর্তক বলা হয়েছে।
