कन्यानां वरयोग्यानामदानं सदृशे वरे । पुत्रमित्रकलत्रेषु गमनं भगिनीषु च
kanyānāṃ varayogyānāmadānaṃ sadṛśe vare | putramitrakalatreṣu gamanaṃ bhaginīṣu ca
বিবাহযোগ্য কন্যাকে উপযুক্ত বরকে না দেওয়া পাপ; আর পুত্রবধূ, বন্ধুর স্ত্রী ও নিজের ভগিনীর সঙ্গে গমন করাও ঘোর দোষ বলে স্মৃত।
