एतेन श्रुतिशास्त्राणि पुराणं च वृतैव किम् । अग्रे सप्तर्षिपूर्वा ये ब्राह्मणाः क्षत्रिया भवन्
etena śrutiśāstrāṇi purāṇaṃ ca vṛtaiva kim | agre saptarṣipūrvā ye brāhmaṇāḥ kṣatriyā bhavan
যদি তাই হয়, তবে বেদ-শ্রুতি, শাস্ত্র এবং পুরাণেরই বা প্রয়োজন কী? প্রাচীনকালে সপ্তর্ষিদের পূর্ববর্তী যে ব্রাহ্মণগণ ছিলেন, তাঁরা পরবর্তীতে কর্মভূমিকায় ক্ষত্রিয় হয়ে উঠেছিলেন।
