ब्रह्माणमाह दैत्यस्तु निर्मृत्युत्वमहं वृणे । ब्रह्मोवाच । न कश्चिच्च विना मृत्युं जंतुरासुर विद्यते
brahmāṇamāha daityastu nirmṛtyutvamahaṃ vṛṇe | brahmovāca | na kaścicca vinā mṛtyuṃ jaṃturāsura vidyate
দৈত্য ব্রহ্মাকে বলল—“আমি অমৃত্যুত্ব, অর্থাৎ মৃত্যুহীনতা, চাই।” ব্রহ্মা বললেন—“হে অসুর, মৃত্যু ছাড়া কোনো জীবই নেই।”
