व्यर्थतां जग्मुरस्त्राणि देवानां दानवं प्रति । यथातिक्रूरचित्तानामार्ये कृत्यशतान्यपि
vyarthatāṃ jagmurastrāṇi devānāṃ dānavaṃ prati | yathātikrūracittānāmārye kṛtyaśatānyapi
দানবের বিরুদ্ধে দেবতাদের অস্ত্রসমূহ ব্যর্থ হয়ে গেল; যেমন অতিশয় নিষ্ঠুরচিত্ত লোকদের কাছে আর্যজনের শত শত সৎপ্রয়াসও নিষ্ফল হয়।
